Holiday Giving Tree Update

We want to thank you all for your very generous donations to our Giving Tree. We collected 6 large garbage bags and 7 large shopping bags of winter clothing!
We have donated these items to Hesed House, located in Aurora, Illinois. Hesed House was started in the early 1980’s with a mission to feed the hungry and to provide clothing, shelter and hope to those in need. They are the 2nd largest shelter in the state outside of Chicago. They provide services for almost 1000 individuals including 188 children. They were VERY thankful for the donations. For more information you can go online to www.hesedhouse.org
Once again, your generosity has helped so many. Your donations have helped make it a better holiday season for those in need and will continue to help them through these cold winter months.

Summer Camp: Week 4

It was Ooey Gooey Week last week at Just For Kids Preschool!

We made watermelon goop and did a frozen painting with puffy blue paint and glitter. We also made dough and formed this into volcanoes. We then made the volcanoes erupt!! We also played with soapy sea foam (made from Dawn dish soap, water, and cornstarch), and played with shaving cream as well (they had a blast!)

We also did a water transfer experiment: “Did the colored water move to a new cup?” We looked at chemical reactions: they watched the glove blow up to the point where it flew off of the glass it was on! (Shown below)

We had fabulous weather for water day- everyone had a great time in the pool and sprinkler.

We look forward to this upcoming week!!!
